Creating a vision board

Vision boards are a visual representation of a dream situation. You can include photos, drawings, magazine cut outs and words, or anything else that makes you feel excited about the future! The result should be a manifestation of your goals. E.g. a university you want to attend, a dream career, a place you want to live.

The benefits of vision boards include improving creativity, providing focus and motivation, and helping you to create better intentions in your daily life. There is also evidence to suggest that by making a visual representation of your dreams, they are more likely to come true! This is because of the imprint the images make on your mirror neurones in your brain that cause your neural pathways to wire according to what you see.

Consider questions such as:

What would make you wake up happy every morning? How do you see yourself in the future?

Gather supplies, such as your pens, magazines, printer, scissors, glue.

Begin to create your vision board! Or if you don't have a board, make a journal. Try to use each page for a single intention.

Using your finished journal, take 5 minutes a day to create an action plan to realise your goal.
